Nothing shines like gold, and we love getting the chance to push the boundaries in print and materials. Having a real wood transom can be costly to maintain, while getting a faux wood painted transom can become very pricey.
Having a top of the line in house printer and some crazy good design skills, we have been able to create large scale high resolution wood texture prints that are as realistic as they come. The owner of this 25’ Chris Craft asked for a Teak Wood background for his transom, with the name “LOCA” in gold and the Port of Call. We die cut real 22k Gold Florentine vinyl for the name and also cut the drop shadow and Port of Call out of Gloss Black. The Teak was printed on high cast print media and laminated with an optically clear UV Gloss laminate.
Installation began with Teak background, followed by installing the drop shadow. Finally we were ready to install the 22k Gold Florentine “LOCA”. The final look was stunning with the gloss black hull and realistic teak transom with the real gold catching the light.
