BMW-engine Riley MkXI Daytona Prototype
It’s not everyday you get to be up close and personal with a track worn race car, especially won that was driven by none other than Brian Johnson, lead singer for AC/DC. He raced this car in the Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona in 2012 to raise funds for Children’s Cancer Research.
With a deadline looming for a special event with Brian Johnson, all hands were on deck to restore the original race livery. After a thorough cleaning, we began laying down the base two tone color change wrap with 3M Gloss Metallic Silver, coupled with 3M Gloss Cosmic Blue. The color combo set the stage for the custom reflective decals that were carefully installed over top. Our favorite part of this livery design are the reflective highway decals that run from the rear, around the cockpit and into the front hood vents.
We couldn’t of been happier with the final results, and the great company we got to work with. If you have a crazy project, your in the right place, CRD Wraps has the people tools and resources to make it happen
