3M Gloss Blue Fire Color Change
We’ve had the opportunity to wrap boats at most of the marinas located along the east coast of Southern Florida. No matter where we are, it’s always a bit of a show for anyone who hasn’t seen a boat wrap installation in real time.
Just like painting, proper preparation is key prior to applying any vinyl wrap material. A chalky gel coat would need to be compounded and buffed, any nicks or cracks would need to be addressed before any vinyl can be applied to the hull. We perform a thorough inspection and cleaning, and immediately before installation begins, the surface is disinfected with 70% isopropyl alcohol.
The show really begins when we are ready to roll out the material for installation, and on this 41’ DONZI, the 3M Gloss Blue Fire came alive. The process after cleaning happens quickly, our two experienced installers had the material positioned, installed and trimmed up on the port side of this 41’ vessel in a few hours.

There is only 1 way to describe the experience that I had with CRD. Masterful, detailed, and customer focused. I have a 2013 Miata hardtop that was Cranberry color. Wanted to change the color entirely. Wanted a racing vibe so I selected orange with black highlights. After going through some needs and help with design, CRD accomplished the mission with flying colors. Not only did they pay attention to detail,, they spent time adding to surfaces I had not planned to make the car more personal. I wanted to find a shop to wrap and color match the grille on my F150, XLT Sport models get a dark grey painted grille; color is "Magnetic Metallic". There are numerous shops further east near I95, but I wanted to find someone as close to Wellington as possible. CRD being located in the commerce park is perfect. I stopped in on a Monday morning and they were easily able to schedule me in for Wednesday, showed me an identical matching 3M wrap color. Since I live close, they offered to pick up my truck and even dropped it off when the truck was done. That alone is worth its weight in gold, I don't have to plan on catching a ride, uber etc....
